An experienced software development manager is needed immediately for an established and growing financial services company based in Newton, MA. This job will require a combination of hands-on and managerial responsibilities.

Qualifications for this position include 8-10 years of development experience, with at least 3 years of management experience. The ideal candidate has remained hands-on with Java development/design. Specific technologies used in this environment include both core Java and J2EE, Oracle databases, and JBoss. Development will primarily have a server-side focus.

Managerial responsibilities inclue managing at least 4-6 direct reports, hiring/firing, and light budgeting.
