Description:
We are currently helping one of our longest-standing clients hire a Network Voice Engineer. This is a new position based on growth. This organization specializes in providing financial and operational consulting services to Fortune 500 companies. Their clients include companies spanning every vertical from healthcare to financial to accounting.
** Due to the fact that this company has two sites in the Chicago area, whoever is hired, can work out of the Loop or the Northwest suburbs!
This position involves the day-to-day support, administration, upgrading and general health of a Cisco-based Voice / IPT network with a secondary role of LAN/WAN support.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Support & Administer Cisco Call Manager and Unity Voicemail platforms
- Support Administer Cisco Enhance 911 platform
- Research and validate software updates to Unified IP Telephony environment
- Turn up new data & voice circuits, and new office network deployments
- Configure and troubleshoot voice or data issues on routers and switches

To be considered for this position, you must have the following skills and experience:
- 5 Years of Overall IT experience with 3 years in Networking and IPT
- Cisco Certification to the Professional level (CCVP or CCNP)
- Cisco Call Manager 4 and Unity Voicemail 4 platforms
- H323 and MGCP Gateways, CAC, SRST and AAR
- Route Plan - CSS, Partitions, route and translation patterns
- Understand QOS - CBWFQ, LLQ, DSCP
- Switching - VLANs, VTP, STP, HSRP
- Routing - OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
